What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

If you contact me via my contact form, your name, email address, and any information in your message are saved for no more than 6 months for customer service purposes. However, I do not use the information submitted through this form for marketing purposes.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

While you are visiting the Think Visually Design website, there are a few things you should be aware of in terms what type of information is being gathered “behind the scenes” about your visit. I currently use the JetPack plugin, as well as Google Analytics, CloudFlare and WPEngine to collect data about your visit. This information is gathered and stored in log files. This information includes your IP address, browser, operating system, time of visit, pages visited, links clicked, etc. None of the information is personal and none of this information is capable of personally identifying who you are.

Who I share your data with

Payments made through the online shop are processed through Stripe payment system. All data collected for your payment is stored and saved with Stripe. None of the payment information is saved on this website.

When you signup to have access to the Resource Library or "opt-in" to receiving updates about my content and new designs in the shop, your email address and name are saved with MailChimp unless and until you unsubscribe from those emails using the link provided in the footer of every email sent via MailChimp.

How long I retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

You can also request that we erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where I send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How I protect your data

This website is scanned on a regular basis for security breeches and vulnerabilities so that your visit to this website is as safe as possible.
